Message from the President
Welcome to the Glacial Lakes Lodge #23 website. Glacial lakes Lodge covers a large Geographical area which includes the following nine counties in West-Central Minnesota: Swift, Pope, Chippewa, Stevens, Lac qui Parle, Kandiyohi, Big Stone, Douglas and Traverse. Our Lodge currently has 54 members and 7 associate members and is continuing to grow. We meet on the First Tuesday of each month, usually at 7pm. We rotate the meeting locations in order to give each county a chance to host occasionally.
Each fall, our Lodge hosts a Longest Tail Feather-Pheasant Tournament, which is very unique and represents the heritage of our region of Minnesota. We welcome you in participating in this event next fall. You will experience great hunting, great prizes, and great people. This event is Lodge 23’s annual fundraiser. If you don’t have anyone to hunt with, you’re welcomed to join in any groups. The proceeds of this fundraiser are used for Lodge operations and most importantly, to help law enforcement officers or their families when they are in need.
I am very honored to be the Seventh President in Lodge #23’s history. It is humbling to be elected by fellow Lodge members to this position. Please explore our website and I encourage you to become a member if you are eligible to join our Lodge. For more information about becoming a member of Lodge #23, email me at fop23.president@gmail.com.
Fraternally,
Austin Ohren, President
